The Tigers will honor longtime franchise icon Ernie Harwell before their Wednesday night game with the Kansas City Royals at Comerica Park and the Lions will follow suit on Sunday during their home opener with the Minnesota Vikings.
Ernie spent 55 seasons broadcasting major league baseball games but, of course, he is closely tied to [...]

With 17 games to go and a 5 game lead in the AL Central, the Detroit Tigers have gone 5-5 in their last 10 games and have been swept by Kansas City. The pennant race is on now more than ever as the Chicago White Sox slipped past the Minnesota Twins in the [...]

The Tigers had a great weekend, and a great week. They swept the Cleveland Indians at home and then traveled to St. Petersburg to face the defending AL Champion, Tampa Bay Rays.
The result was a three game road sweep, their first since May, two straight road series victories and a huge division lead.
The [...]
